★ 5Parent review“Perfect! Solayman understood my child's needs, was very patient and explained concepts to him very well. Would definitely recommend.”
Fj
Parent recommendation“He is an excellent teacher who offers great lessons at a fair and affordable rate. His method of teaching for his lessons were unique, the way the topic is explained till it's crystal clear and doesn't feel like reading off a math textbook. Sets homework at the end of each lesson and marks it outside of the lesson, to go through next lesson with feedback!! He is an Excellent Experienced Tutor. My son said, "he is like a school teacher you wished you always had."”
Sameed
KCL peer perspective“As a fellow student at kcl, I have seen solayman excel in uni with ease while also assisting his peers with any acedemic problems they might have. He has helped me with various topics and explains them very efficiently, which is why I can confidently recommend him as a tutor.”
Oscar
Parent recommendation“An excellent tutor who helped my daughter with her learning for around 3 years and enabled her to achieve grade 9 in her GCSE Math and Further Math exam. Excellent teacher who builds confidence in the child’s mind and creates a positive environment. His teaching techniques are highly recommended. If looking for an online teacher, definitely try his classes.”
Laputa
Student recommendation“Solayman is a great and reliable tutor. He is able to break down complex maths questions into easy steps. It was really helpful for the help with the algebra questions which I found most difficult. He is also very relatable and understood the exam board that I was taking. Thank you!”
Lotifa
Parent recommendation“Solayman is a knowledgeable, patient, and reliable tutor who genuinely cares about student success. They explain everything clearly, tailor lessons to individual needs, and create a supportive learning environment.”
Syeda
Student recommendation“Thank you Solayman , your support has truly been valuable. You’ve made maths look soo easy for me, especially when you explained how to solve circle theorems related problems. I really love how you explain things with fun, creative analogies that's simple to understand.”
Individual progress depends on starting point, consistency, and practice.
A bit about me+
I am an engineering student, but underneath the hard hat I am just a mathematician. Maths is my blood and passion, driving me through tough times in my academic journey. I love exploring new theories and getting lost in solving problems. I want to teach and share this passion with your child, helping them through their homework and classwork so they can grow into confident problem-solvers in a future shaped by technology and innovation.
Teaching prices+
All lesson packs are paid upfront. This keeps lessons consistent and allows future classes, homework and feedback to be planned properly.
My teaching experience+
Teaching Experience:
● SuperProf & Private Tutoring(2025-): Tutoring GCSE Math(Edexcel), Further Math (AQA) and Physics (AQA)
● Private tutoring(2022-24): Tutoring children in my local area, who were preparing for their KS1/KS2 Math SATs; struggling with high school; preparing for their GCSE Math/Further Math; while some were being supported with their AS level Math/Further Math so that they are ready for A2 level Math/Further Math. Some of my students are currently excelling in grammar schools getting ready to take their GCSE/A-level exams.
● Great Marlow School (2022): In 2022, I volunteered as a tutor, providing free sessions to year 8-11 students. I helped them engage with the material, clarify doubts, and improve their understanding. As a result, they achieved higher grades in their GCSE mathematics exams including a couple of grade 8 and 9s
● Approach: I recognise that students have mixed abilities. Effective teaching involves helping students feel satisfied and confident with mathematical concepts, rather than overwhelming them with terminology. I focus on understanding rather than mere memorisation. And finally, lots of practice questions, allowing the student opportunity to apply new knowledge; confronting and clarifying any doubts they have on the theory.
● Creative Teaching: Teaching my younger sister mathematics in primary school taught me the importance of creativity and engagement. Lessons should be entertaining and thought-provoking, encouraging independent thinking.
Other work experience:
● Airbus (July, 2022): I participated in a 2 week Aerospace engineering work experience for Airbus. During this work experience, we talked to people who work in Airbus Defence and Space sector through live webinars through SpringPod.
Academic Achievements:
● A-levels:
○ Mathematics - A*
○ Further Mathematics - A*
○ Physics - A
○ Biology - B
● GCSEs:
○ Mathematics - 9
○ Physics - 9
○ Further Mathematics - 9
○ Biology - 8
○ Chemistry - 8
● UKMT Competitions:
○ Junior Competition: Gold Award
○ Intermediate Competition: Gold Award
○ Senior Competition: Silver Award
My method of teaching+
All lessons are online on weekends(available everyday during summer holidays), first free lesson is introduction, getting to know and understand student's strengths and weaknesses in Maths + Further Maths.
Lessons are planned for future classes, homework will be set after first official lesson. Flexible teaching for students with varying ability in maths.

● Creative Teaching: Teaching my younger sister mathematics in primary school taught me the importance of creativity and engagement. Lessons should be entertaining and thought-provoking, encouraging independent thinking.
● In-depth: I prefer online lessons through Zoom rather than Skype, where I go through lessons using my iPad + Laptop
1. In the first lesson (free), I like to get to generally know the student, also the student's strengths and weaknesses in their mathematics. I want to know what they want help with or need help with to plan future lessons.
2. I will set homework and expect them to go through the work in their own time, so I can mark and go through the questions. However, if it is a topic they don't know or understand, I will give feedback for HW in the next consecutive lesson insuring to cover those topics at the start of the lesson.
3. I have experienced as a student, the sheer boredom of being in a lesson and the teacher is preaching the lesson like a textbook. My main priority is to make sure the student understands a concept in simple terms so that they can apply it. I want the student to ask me questions so I know where the student is struggling, for me to support your child such that they benefit from the lesson. Ask the student questions, to ensure student is engaged with the lesson finds it productive and supportive. Through dedication, time and the right support, anyone can achieve a grade 8/9 - I prefer to teach 1-2 hours - I teach students between the age of 8-17
Frequently asked questions
Which subjects do you tutor?+
I currently tutor KS3 Maths, GCSE Maths Foundation and Higher, and GCSE Further Maths / AQA Level 2 Further Maths.
Do you do in-person lessons?+
Not at the moment. Lessons are carried out online through Zoom, and lesson links are sent through WhatsApp.
What happens in the free first lesson?+
The first free introductory lesson is 30 minutes. It is used to get to know the student, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and decide what future lessons should focus on.
Do you give homework?+
Homework is not normally set for a single paid Silver session. Gold includes weekly homework with marking and feedback during the next consecutive session. Diamond includes session-based homework with marking and feedback during the next consecutive session.
Homework should be submitted at least the day before the next lesson so I have time to mark it properly.
How do payments work?+
Lesson packs are paid upfront by direct Barclays bank transfer after the pack is confirmed. There is no online checkout on this website yet. Please read the Terms & Conditions section before purchasing a pack.
Do students get access to extra resources?+
Yes — where useful, I may share selected notes, diagrams, worked examples, or links to free lessons and free MIF resources.
I am gradually building more resources for students, and insha’Allah this will continue to grow over time.
Do you offer GCSE Science support?+
I currently focus on Maths and Further Maths. GCSE Biology and Chemistry support may also be available through my sister, who is a first-class Biomedicine graduate from St George’s University. If you are interested, please message me on WhatsApp.
